Electrical System Architect Job Description

At Antora Energy, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way industry consumes energy. As an Electrical System Architect, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance, low-cost electrical systems for our thermal energy storage products and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define electrical system architecture for thermal battery modules and plant electrical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure highest performing, lowest cost electrical systems
  • Lead electrical R&D initiatives and support code compliance efforts
  • Create detailed system design documents and diagrams
  • Evaluate and select technologies and components for system implementation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a system architect or similar role with focus on high-power electrical systems
  • Experience with trade studies, conceptual design, integration, and testing in relevant industry
  • Proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, PSCAD)
  • Experience designing, prototyping, and bringing switching based power electronics to market
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to industrial electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and failure root-cause analysis experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Mentor and lead junior engineers
  • Participate in product full cycle development from conceptual phase to prototype, site deployment, and operations

Work Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA

Salary Range: $163,000 - $195,000 USD

Salary Basis: Annual

This job posting contains the salary range that Antora Energy believes it would be willing to pay for the posted job. The actual salary offered will be determined within the posted range based on a candidate's experience, credentials, and expertise as they pertain to the requirements of the position.
