About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Architect to support the vendor management and procurement domain or the operational services domain. The architect lead will partner with the business organization to establish detailed architecture specifications and roadmaps for business products and technology investment projects.

The Product Architect will drive a product vision, translate business demands to product capabilities, and develop a target architecture roadmap that supports consumer/client consumption. They will work with Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure alignment and effective communication.

The Product Architect will describe the solution context and solution intent, analyze technical trade-offs, determine primary components and subsystems, identify interfaces and collaborations, define nonfunctional requirements, and guide enablers through the program and solution kanban systems.

The Product Architect will participate in Product Backlog refinement, prioritization, pre-planning events, and working with the product manager and stakeholders to define the architectural approach, capability roadmap, and high-level objectives for the roadmap.

The Product Architect will drive continuous planning, develop and review required ArchSpec, and adhere to the governance process. They will work with third parties to ensure technical characteristics for third-party-delivered capabilities are understood and assist with architectural integration.

The Product Architect will be responsible for producing Architecture deliverables for a Product Architecture, Product Technology Roadmap, Architecture Specifications, and establishing a modernization roadmap in partnership with the product manager as relevant.

This role will require experience and training in Cloud, Data, DevSecOps, Domain Driven Design, Archimate, Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF) fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives with companywide scope.
  • Assist in the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives.
  • Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy.
  • Identify medium to high architectural impact projects.
  • Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions.
  • Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems-related teams.
  • Make decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures.
  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.
  • Ensure applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
