Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and discharge processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registration and Discharge: Accurately register and discharge patients into the EPIC system, ensuring all necessary information is collected and updated.
  • Cash Handling: Collect co-payments, point-of-service payments, and other payments, and reconcile cash drawers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify and update patient insurance information, ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Communication: Coordinate with nursing units, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
