Your Responsibilities.
As a Patient Access / Registration Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the registration and pre-access team, ensuring accurate collection of patient information and financial details.
- Facilitating patient registration processes, confirming and updating demographic data while preventing record duplication.
- Communicating financial responsibilities to patients and collecting necessary payments prior to service.
- Addressing patient inquiries regarding billing and resolving complex account issues.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, assisting with appeals and denials, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues.
- Providing training and support to team members, ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
- Promoting the mission and values of SCL Health in all interactions.
We value experience and dedication. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a Patient Access or Revenue Service Center role.
- Preferred certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
- Experience in revenue cycle operations related to patient financial services is advantageous.
