Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer Lead to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical systems, including boilers, emergency generators, HVAC, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct periodic tests and inspections to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs to maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders.
  • Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
Requirements
  • Three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience.
  • Current electrical, plumbing, or boiler licensure is preferred.
  • Knowledge of standards, regulatory requirements, and equipment/supplies applicable to the repair, service, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to understand, apply, and communicate moderately complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to identify staff training needs and provide effective on-the-job training.
