The role of the Custom Antibody Project Coordinator encompasses various responsibilities spanning Custom Services, Animal Operations, and Manufacturing. This position is pivotal in orchestrating custom antibody projects, overseeing the scheduling of laboratory activities, and ensuring timely production of raw materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to establish new processes where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of custom polyclonal antibody projects and services.
  • Assist in organizing and scheduling laboratory activities for the production of custom PBMC, splenocyte, and ascites.
  • Help prepare custom antibody products for delivery to clients.
  • Coordinate efforts between animal operations, production, and custom polyclonal antibody services to ensure timely lab activities and production.
  • Maintain the schedule of custom polyclonal projects within ERP software and animal databases.
  • Facilitate workflow among Animal Operations, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to monitor ongoing animal projects, antigen inventories, and materials required for project completion.
  • Assist in conducting serum titer ELISA assays across various species for custom service projects.
  • Prepare reports, datasheets, and data packages for clients.
  • Communicate project specifics to animal operations, production teams, and clients.
  • Contribute to the validation of polyclonal antibody QA/QC testing.
  • Manage general lab supplies and specific reagent inventories to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Promote quality management and assurance principles.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in basic laboratory techniques.

Strong communication skills across various organizational levels and platforms.

Mathematical and scientific aptitude.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Robust planning, prioritization, and project management skills with experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational Background:

Associate degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline such as biology, biochemistry, or immunology.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably involving ELISA and project management.

Familiarity with project management, databases, and inventory management is preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office365.
