Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator (PC) serves as the primary engineering authority on the project. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the PC is accountable for all administrative functions on-site. This role includes overseeing office engineers and jobsite administrators.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.

At least 2-4 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction projects.

Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Excellent communication abilities.

Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internships within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Materials Management - This encompasses submittals, shop drawings, and ensuring timely material deliveries.

Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the following:
Gather all necessary information to prepare monthly Owner Pay Applications.

Identify and resolve conflicts between the Company and subcontractors, as well as among subcontractors.

Assist field supervisors with interpreting drawings, specifications, IRs/RFIs, and inquiries from the Architect/Engineer.

Process and assess all Change Orders and Requests for Information.

Contribute to the development and updating of project schedules.

Provide support in form detailing and specialized design.

Assist with production analysis studies.

Engage in field-initiated purchasing.

Conduct weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes.

Assist in Monthly Margin Analysis.

Safety - Participate in jobsite safety meetings and conduct weekly safety audits.

Quality - Facilitate and/or take part in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc.

Manage, train, and mentor office engineers.

Develop and manage Cost Control and Labor Recap in collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.


Possess a working knowledge of how the VDC Scope of Work, VDC Execution Plan, and VDC deliverables align with project planning strategies related to field operations (e.g., schedule, model coordination for submittals, constructability review, installation validation, BIM to Field Layout, Field Layout to BIM).

Ability to navigate and review the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software while collaborating with the VDC team.
