***All project work is in the southeast region of the US, so they are comfortable with candidates that sit in locations with direct flights to the southeast region. The first project this person would be allocated to is in Montgomery, AL.

Travel: 85-90% travel

***The schedule is typically 2 weeks on site, and then travel back home for a weekend. Hiring company pays for all travel and provides a per diem of roughly $1,500 per week. Candidates can choose if they would like to use that for a lease or hotels.

Duration: Direct Hire

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the mechanical contracting sector and/or data center initiatives
  • Proven experience as a project manager overseeing project timelines, budgets, and teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical construction industry practices, processes, and standards
  • Client-facing demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in the field
  • Experience as a pipefitting superintendent with data center or general mechanical contracting exposure
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science Management or Business Management

Job Overview:

Analysis & Planning:

Assess manufacturing workflows, validate financial projections, and pursue new project avenues.

Management:

Direct site teams, oversee project profitability, negotiate agreements, and guarantee successful project delivery.

Quality Assurance:

Establish project objectives, implement risk management strategies, and maintain documentation for quality assessment.

Support:

Assist in budgeting, strategic planning, and the procurement process for projects.

Performance Monitoring:

Evaluate KPIs, manage revenue streams, and modify strategies to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective management and leadership of assigned site teams.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, primary clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to maximize business opportunities.
  • Ensure overall profitability management of assigned projects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions when necessary. Oversee the creation and execution of recovery plans as needed.
  • Establish project objectives at the onset of each project, focusing on profitability, manufacturing targets, cash flow, and client satisfaction.
  • Guide the team in developing on-site plans and ensure effective execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support all phases of the project procurement process, including contract evaluation, scope review, constructability assessment, labor impact analysis, manufacturing strategies, risk assessment, and interview preparation for all assigned projects.
  • Ensure all projects within the assigned group adhere to pre-planning and risk mitigation workflows, including estimating turnover, management review, manufacturing plans, cash management strategies, buyout plans, project timelines, productivity tracking, job audits, and debriefs.
