Position Overview:

Accurate Personnel LLC is in search of a dedicated and skilled Distribution Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics facility. This pivotal role is essential for achieving both financial and operational objectives while upholding superior standards throughout the distribution process. The Distribution Center Manager will be instrumental in crafting and executing operational strategies, managing financial documentation, and ensuring the seamless movement of products within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement work procedures, create work schedules, and streamline workflow to ensure optimal operations.
  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions, delegate tasks, and evaluate work for precision, organization, and adherence to policies.
  • Standardize practices to enhance the productivity of team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Address grievances, rectify errors, and manage complaints effectively to sustain a positive workplace atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution; or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and comprehensive knowledge of distribution center operations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a strong sense of collaboration.
  • Capacity to meet strict deadlines and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 10 lbs and endure prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation.
  • Occasional requirement to navigate stairs.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise a team of 4-12 subordinate managers, who oversee departmental supervisors and a broader workforce.
  • Guide the overall direction, coordination, and assessment of these units, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Responsibilities encompass training staff, planning, assigning, and directing tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing concerns.
  • Design and implement management and operational protocols to boost the overall effectiveness of the distribution center.

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

  • Strategically plan the layout of the warehouse and storage areas, taking into account factors such as item turnover, dimensions, weight, and storage needs.
  • Oversee the financial reporting of the warehouse, ensuring all budgets and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Develop, create, and execute production planning processes for the entire warehouse to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Offer guidance to employees on the proper care, preservation, handling, storage, maintenance, and shipping of inventory.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Analyze records and recommend actions for non-usable, slow-moving, and excess inventory to enhance overall inventory management.
  • Review documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with established protocols, and adequacy of stock levels.
  • Schedule and supervise work for special and periodic inventories, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Trace the history of items to identify and resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
