Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Positive Relationships with all drivers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Communicate Effectively service issues to internal (NFI) and external (Customer) personnel, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Optimize Logistics Operations by performing load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
  • Manage Data Entry into NFI's proprietary order-management-system, TMW, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate Invoicing with the home-office team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices.
  • Ensure Task Completion of daily and weekly tasks, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide Performance Data to internal and external parties, including weekly KPI reports.
  • Coordinate Maintenance scheduling for trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal fleet performance.
  • Collaborate with Safety Department on DriveCam, driver compliance, and HOS issues.
  • Implement Safety Policies as directed by the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with NFI's Safety, Security, and Labor policies.
  • Provide Coverage throughout departments during vacations and holidays, ensuring business continuity.
  • Manage Driver Payroll and audit driver expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support Project Manager as needed, providing operational assistance and support.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in logistics and/or transportation.
  • Computer Applications experience, including MS Office and TMW, is strongly desired.
  • Excellent Customer Service, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills.
  • Ability to Multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and Availability to work extended hours if necessary.
