Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join its team. As a Policy Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the state's behavioral health system and improving the experience and outcomes of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct robust, independent, and nonpartisan public policy research and performance evaluation to inform policy decisions.
  • Develop actionable recommendations for policy makers to improve the behavioral health system.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including state legislators, to ensure that policy decisions are informed by the needs of the community.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement policy initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in behavioral health policy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in public policy, health policy, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in public policy, program evaluation, or a related field.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple workflows.
