About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team, where you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a talented group of professionals. As a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, you'll be responsible for developing subsystem product specifications, test requirements, and supporting trade study activities. You'll also have the opportunity to work with multiple engineering fields to identify technical product characteristics and develop requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop subsystem product specifications, requirements, and verification baselines
  • Develop test requirements specifications
  • Support trade study activities
  • Collaborate with the Systems Engineering and Integration Team to create end-to-end integrated solutions
  • Support a value-driven Systems Engineering team and facilitate design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge in Systems Engineering with knowledge of System Engineering Concepts and processes
  • Experience with requirement identification, decomposition, allocation, and verification
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering fields to identify technical product characteristics and develop requirements specifications
  • Experience with DOORS or similar tool for requirements management, decomposition, and publication
Desired Skills
  • Writing requirements documentation and coordinating document release through approval process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, and ability to create consensus among peers while forming relationships with team members
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
  • Proficiency in DOORS
  • Experience developing requirements for space or missile systems
  • Experience supporting trade studies
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
