The Patient Access Representative at Springfield Clinic is responsible for managing patient access services through handling incoming calls, assisting clinic customers, and improving clinic-wide communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, identify caller needs, and direct calls to appropriate departments
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the organization, department locations, and provider information
  • Perform overhead paging and maintain communication during emergencies
  • Provide 24-hour answering service to clinic staff and departments
  • Assist with TeleNurse Intake duties when required
  • Route emergency calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to patient service standards and maintain a positive attitude
  • Continuously educate and follow departmental processes
  • Report workflow issues to management
  • Comply with clinic policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum of one year of medical office or phone experience
  • Proficient typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy
  • Good attendance record
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Effective communication skills
Working Environment:
Office-based role with extended periods of sitting.
