Job Summary

MIKROS TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist III - Precision Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and programming of CNC vertical mills and lathes in our high-precision environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation: Set up, inspect, and operate machine tools, sanding, lapping, and polishing machines, and lathes with care and precision to ensure desired results.
  • CNC Programming: Program 3-axis mills and EDMs using Mastercam and select the correct cutting tools, speeds, and feeds as necessary.
  • Tooling and Maintenance: Adjust cutter comp and work offsets on machine tools to achieve desired results, and perform daily machine maintenance tasks.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the process and perform first-article inspection on all components when required, or check machined features against print when first article is not required.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Successfully collaborate with engineering on product design, create setup sheets and first-article inspection reports, and maintain effective team collaboration through strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess good manual dexterity to handle various tools and equipment.
  • Independence and Self-Directed Work: Work independently and be self-directed to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and communication.
  • Education and Experience: Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience in a machinist position.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for prolonged periods throughout the day and lift 25 pounds consistently throughout the day.
