We are looking for CNC Machinists to join our Team

The CNC Machinist position will operate / set-up a variety of CNC machines to perform assigned tasks. Our preferred candidate will have an eye for detail and a working knowledge of mathematics with a goal to ensure safe, effective production operations and optimize procedures.

CNC Machinist Job Description: Set-Up & Operation

  • Must have a working knowledge of basic CNC machine setups.
  • Experience in using Haas and Fanuc Controls is a plus.
  • Ability to perform quality checks using precision tools (e.g. vernier calipers, micrometers) to take / record accurate measurements
  • Ability to operate machines in a safe manner to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain machine with regular maintenance - including cleaning, greasing and fluid levels. Report any issues to team leader or supervisor.
  • Basic mechanical skills using hand tools, power tools, hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and endure long periods of being on your feet.
  • Completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
  • Must have the ability to read and interoperate blueprints.
  • Familiar with machine shop nomenclature
  • The ability to fallow work order / tracker instructions.
Requirements:

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle a full shift of being active and working in and around the building.
  • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that require frequent bending and stooping
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions (hot and cold environments)
