The Personal Banker role is part of a workplace model that does not permit remote work.

Key Responsibilities of a Personal Banker:

  • Process and verify a range of financial transactions, including cash handling, check cashing, and maintaining precise records.
  • Engage with customers and potential clients to assess their needs and recommend STAR's products and services accordingly.
  • Accept payments for loans, credit cards, and other financial obligations.
  • Maintain and accurately balance the cash drawer.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Initiate new customer accounts.
  • Timely address and resolve customer inquiries, either personally or by referring to the appropriate source.
  • Provide account-related information and assist with additional services.
  • Stay informed about bank products, services, and procedures.
  • Comply with all operational policies and procedures.
  • Complete annual compliance training.

Selected candidates are expected to advance to a Personal Banker II position after a designated period of employment and must fulfill all certification requirements.
