As a key member of our team, you will conduct experimental and analytical work supporting the Fusion Safety Program. Your contributions will span all areas of experimental activities conducted at the Safety and Tritium Applied Research (STAR) facility, with a focus on experimental facilities that perform ion beam/plasma materials interaction and tritium permeation studies.

You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting projects related to advanced reactor technology and fusion energy.

**Qualifications:**

* Ph.D. in nuclear engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or materials engineering, chemistry, physics, or related field.
* Hands-on experience with ultra-high vacuum systems, gas analysis, and other laboratory equipment.
* Experience with hydrogen interactions in materials.

**Desired Requirements:**

* Working knowledge of the design and assembly of vacuum systems, gas systems, and data acquisition and controls
* Experience with irradiated materials and radiological work.

**Job Information:**

* Salary: $96,900 Annually
