Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our team at Guardian Management. As a key member of our community operations team, you will assist the Community Manager in the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring exceptional resident experiences and maintaining the highest standards of property management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Community Manager in enforcing Guardian Management policies and procedures, and adhering to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws.
  • Coordinate with other property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service to residents, maintain excellent curb appeal, and ensure timely compliance with all government and property program requirements.
  • Complete move-in/move-out paperwork with residents, collect delinquent accounts, and administer the day-to-day leasing activities, including touring potential residents, completing guest cards, and maintaining and updating the property's wait list.
  • Purchase goods/services/supplies as directed by the Community Manager and input invoices into the property management system.
  • Work with the Community Manager and Maintenance Staff to coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance, regularly inspect property and vacant apartments, and coordinate the work and schedules of property vendors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers, striving for improvements in work process and results to better meet resident needs, ownership goals, and company standards and expectations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in multifamily property management.
  • Affordable property management experience, preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Possess strong technology, internet, and general computer use skills and willingness to learn new programs as needed.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
