Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metrology Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our production line, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools in a class 100 cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned tool sets, adhering to established procedures.
  • Document maintenance activities, including routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures, in the tool logbook and MITECS or Resource Viewer.
  • Troubleshoot and repair routine unscheduled failures, identifying root causes and selecting the correct down code to improve Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF).
  • Provide technical training and certification for maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer to define and write preventive maintenance procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
Requirements
  • Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, or Semiconductor Industries experience.
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a strong understanding of electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in repairs and maintenance of UHV e-Beam & Dual-Beam Systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and select the correct down code.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, and other teams.
  • Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
