About the Role

This position is part of Lam Research's Metrology Core group, where teamwork and communication are paramount to success. As a highly functional and adaptive team member, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and modify equipment in our applications lab. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting and maintaining innovative equipment, providing direct support to engineering teams, and making a significant impact on our technology's success.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Technician 3 at Lam, you will be responsible for operating in an R&D environment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum equipment, ensuring safe handling of hazardous gas and liquid materials using required Personal Protective Equipment. You will also partner with cross-functional teams on R&D activities, customer demos, and supporting equipment, installing and providing support for prototype equipment, developing procedures and documentation. Additionally, you will maintain alignment on priorities across tasks that vary from dynamic to consistent with clear and proactive communications.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or an Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent military training with 2+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of SEMs or other Metrology Tools is also a plus. Preferred qualifications include Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) experience, 2+ years hands-on experience maintaining semiconductor equipment, ideally metrology equipment, and experience operating or maintaining Hitachi, Thermo Fisher (Formerly FEI) and Zeiss SEM/STEM equipment.
