Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician

Western Digital is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wafer manufacturing production line equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures in a timely and efficient manner, using root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Document maintenance activities, including routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs, in our tracking system.
  • Collaborate with the equipment engineering team to improve maintenance procedures and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Provide technical training and certification to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex equipment issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with vacuum, photo, and wet/plating technologies.
  • Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
