Metrology Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Western Digital is seeking a skilled Metrology Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production line, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex equipment in a class 100 cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned tool sets, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair unscheduled failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to improve Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- Document maintenance activities, including routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures, in MITECS or Resource Viewer.
- Provide technical training and certification for maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with the Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer to develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, or Semiconductor Industries experience.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a strong understanding of electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in repairs and maintenance of UHV e-Beam & Dual-Beam Systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to isolate and determine root causes of equipment failures.
- Proficient in MS Windows software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, and other teams.
- Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Senior-level experience as an Equipment Maintenance Technician.
- Experience with UHV e-Beam Systems, including FEI CERTUS-P2, FEI-CERTUS-P1, FEI8XX, Verity-II, Verity-5i, G5GEM, G2SEM, and other similar systems.
