Internship Program Overview

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role

The US Regional Global Supply Management Sourcing (Procurement) team is seeking a candidate with exceptional data analytics skills and communication skills. This individual will lead a project to identify, develop, and execute cost savings projects & alternative sourcing initiatives within our existing supply base. Additionally, they will work with the US Regional GSM Sourcing team to support additional projects in process during their internship, streamlining processes, creating standardized reports, and improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the GSM US Regional Sourcing team to support analytics, sourcing projects, and cost savings initiatives.
  • Analyze data using statistical and reporting tools, such as Excel and PowerBI.
  • Participate in supplier interactions on new cost savings opportunities.
  • Document business process improvements and workflows.
  • Perform analysis on process improvements and implement solutions as needed.
  • Utilize data to monitor KPIs and market trends and summarize and report out on findings.
  • Communicate clear status and target dates for key milestones/task activities.
  • Attend weekly meetings with GSM US & leadership team.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Requirements
  • Education - At least a sophomore at the time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Business, or related field.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams for collaboration, MS SharePoint, PowerBI, advanced analytical abilities, effective research, and professional networking skills, and the ability to problem-solve.
  • Good Communication skills and the ability to work well on teams or individually.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
