Facilities Management Coordinator

Job Summary
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of company and customer equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the repair and maintenance of company-owned and customer equipment, including the organization of equipment storage areas.
- Develop and implement work schedules to meet customer needs and ensure equipment availability.
- Order parts and materials to maintain adequate supplies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors to stay up-to-date on maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment.
- Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Document equipment status before and after rental, including any issues or concerns.
- Handle customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure equipment meets quality standards.
- Update and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history.
- Create, update, close, and bill work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- File warranty claims in a timely fashion to minimize delays.
- Commission new equipment and ensure it is properly integrated into our fleet.
- Manage parts inventory, including ordering, returning, and tracking parts.
- Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous materials, including batteries, used oil, and filters.
- Provide regular reporting to management on equipment status, fleet performance, and other key metrics.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling, as well as other supervisory activities.
- Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
- Clear perspective on maintenance and repair issues in the industry.
- Planning and management experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Reporting experience.
- Inventory management experience.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. The ability to work indoors and outdoors is also required.
