Job Summary:

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, is seeking an Agriculture Extension Associate. This role will support various Forestry and Natural Resources Extension initiatives, which may include:

  • Implementing forestry programs designed to equip forest landowners for upcoming management challenges.
  • Gathering and analyzing information from landowners and foresters to optimize resource alignment.
  • Preparing and submitting manuscripts for peer-reviewed Extension and research publications.
  • Drafting comprehensive reports.
  • Coordinating activities with collaborators.
  • Providing assistance to colleagues engaged in related projects.
  • Executing additional tasks as required.

The Extension Associate will engage in outreach and extension activities, participate in professional development opportunities, and attend relevant scientific and outreach conferences.

This is a grant-funded, two-year position that is renewed annually.

Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Education/Experience:

MS in Forestry, Forest Ecology, or a related field (or in progress).
Experience in outreach initiatives.
Familiarity or experience working with stakeholders and landowners.
