Physical Demands:Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Availability for weekends and evenings as necessary.
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking an Agriculture Extension Associate to support various Forestry and Natural Resources Extension initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating forestry programs designed to equip landowners with strategies for future management challenges.
- Gathering and analyzing information from landowners and foresters to optimize resource alignment.
- Preparing and submitting manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals in Extension and research.
- Drafting comprehensive reports.
- Coordinating activities with project collaborators.
- Providing assistance to colleagues engaged in related projects.
- Executing additional tasks as required.
The Extension Associate will engage in outreach and extension activities, participate in professional development, and attend relevant scientific and outreach conferences.
This is a grant-funded position with a two-year term, subject to annual renewal.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position does not include supervisory duties.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Forestry, Forest Ecology, or a related field (or in progress).
Experience in outreach initiatives.
Familiarity with stakeholder engagement and landowner relations.
