About the Role

Schaeffler Group, a leading global technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing independent verification and validation (IV&V) strategies and project Design Verification Plans (DVPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IV&V strategies and DVPs to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.
  • Support the monitoring and controlling of IV&V efforts and strategic IV&V planning.
  • Evaluate and work on defects, concerns, and change requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support requirements management and system design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) / fault tree analysis (FTA) to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Summarize, optimize, and finalize DVPs and report overall project DVP status to stakeholders.
  • Provide release recommendations based on IV&V results to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and 5 or more years of practical experience or a Master's degree in engineering and 2 or more years of practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle powertrain architectures and components.
  • Basic understanding of electric machines and controls of hydraulics and heat transfer.
  • Understanding of modeling and simulating of electric or mechatronic systems.
  • Experience in functional safety of mechatronic systems.
  • Experience in risk analysis and DFMEA.
  • Experience in presenting engineering topics and moderating discussions.
  • Experience in solving engineering problems.
