About the Role
Schaeffler Group, a leading global technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing independent verification and validation (IV&V) strategies and project Design Verification Plans (DVPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IV&V strategies and DVPs to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.
- Support the monitoring and controlling of IV&V efforts and strategic IV&V planning.
- Evaluate and work on defects, concerns, and change requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Support requirements management and system design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) / fault tree analysis (FTA) to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Summarize, optimize, and finalize DVPs and report overall project DVP status to stakeholders.
- Provide release recommendations based on IV&V results to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and 5 or more years of practical experience or a Master's degree in engineering and 2 or more years of practical experience.
- Strong understanding of vehicle powertrain architectures and components.
- Basic understanding of electric machines and controls of hydraulics and heat transfer.
- Understanding of modeling and simulating of electric or mechatronic systems.
- Experience in functional safety of mechatronic systems.
- Experience in risk analysis and DFMEA.
- Experience in presenting engineering topics and moderating discussions.
- Experience in solving engineering problems.

- Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $120,000
- Hiring bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days
