Job Description

Position Title: CNC Saw Operator

Shift: Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am

The CNC Saw Operator is responsible for operating and managing tasks in both Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills. This role involves collaborating with setup machinists to ensure a seamless workflow while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-process inspections and monitoring tool wear as part of standard procedures.
  • Preparing and organizing future jobs, including tooling and fixturing.
  • Breaking down completed jobs and providing support across various departments such as materials, manual machining, inspection, and part finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Journeyman Machinists with all aspects of CNC machining.
  • Efficiently read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Identify various types of cutting tools and inserts.
  • Comprehend setup sheets and written work instructions.
  • Perform thorough inspections for quality control on machined components.
  • Execute necessary handwork on machined parts.
  • Establish priorities and organize resources to ensure effective production flow.
  • Collaborate in a team environment, both independently and cooperatively.
  • Contribute to team efforts as needed.

  • Proficient reading and interpretation of technical drawings
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Job Type: This is a Contract-to-Hire position.

Work Environment: Clean manufacturing floor.
