Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist contractors and customers in finding products, load/unload vehicles, and verify load tickets for accuracy.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Flat stack lumber units and wrap units to protect the wood from the sun and rain.
  • Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, complying with all safety standards and following Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
  • Operational Skills: Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
  • Product Knowledge: Trained to operate woodworking machines, saws, and tools, with accurate measuring and cutting skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Good basic math skills.
  • Communication and Compliance: Ability to communicate effectively and comply with all safety standards.
  • Driving Record: If driving a company truck, a clean driving record is required.
