The University of Miami is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our faculty as a Clinical Educator in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. This is a full-time position that requires a strong clinical background, teaching experience, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a focus on Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology.
- Participation in the advancement and education of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Experience in general Nuclear Medicine studies, including bone scans, thyroid imaging, nuclear cardiology, renal, gastric, lymphatic, brain, and other types of imaging.
- Experience with state-of-the-art hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics, with a focus on conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer.
- Supervision of technical personnel and participation in quality assurance activities.
- Participation in teaching activities, including didactic teaching, supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, and attendance at seminars and other educational lectures.
- Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
- Medical Degree and completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Nuclear Medicine Fellowship.
- Dual board certification in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
- Experience in a university faculty setting, with a focus on Nuclear Medicine.
- Strong clinical background and teaching experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas to students, residents, and colleagues.
