Job Title:
Human Resources Training Manager

Summary

The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing employee training and development programs across the organization, utilizing various mediums for delivery. With a strategic focus and tactical delivery, the Training Manager maintains a catalogue of courses and training plans designed to balance organizational objectives with employee needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer feedback.
  • Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
  • Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Present training and development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Assess training materials prepared by instructors.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Prepare and implement training budget; maintain records and reports of expenses.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Education / Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required. At least two years of training experience required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives. Ability to design and implement effective training and development. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Working Conditions

Works in an office environment. May require some bending, stooping, reaching, and prolonged sitting. Must have and maintain a valid state of Georgia driver's license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company "Authorized Drivers List."
