Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Property Preservation and REO Asset Manager to join our team at First United Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the property preservation and REO asset management process, ensuring that properties are preserved and sold in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities * Lead analysis of problems with properties and finding the best solution for the tenant and property owner * Manage the team's efforts on the implementation process for new data content and product * Manage the Property Preservation process to ensure property preservation and repair work is completed in line with investor and insurer guidelines * Develop, Implement and Maintain regulatory requirements with the Property Preservation vendor * Manage Auction and REO process to ensure properties are liquidated in line with investor and insurer guidelines * Manage staff and Vendor Partner, including but not limited to participating in hiring decisions, training, performance reviews, assigning and prioritizing duties * Manage dispositioning of single-family homes (1-4 units) Real Estate Owned (REO) and custodial properties through listing, marketing and selling REO Disposition properties * REO Manager must create and manage process with vendor to market the properties as well with appraisal companies, title companies, attorneys and closing agents to ensure properties always move through the disposition process as smoothly as possible * Manage vendors to include training, updating system of record with daily information obtained, issuing work orders for services * Lead work assignments, based on previous work quality and vendor scorecards * Manage escalated issues or concerns * Manage and Review sale offers, review counter offers, seek approval acceptance of contract and/or negotiations, assign property to closing agents/attorneys for closing process * Remediate losses though analyzing best course of action between REO Sale and Claims Requirements * College Degree preferred * Property Preservation experience (Required) * REO Asset Management experience (Required) * 2nd Change Auction Program experience (Required) * MSP experience (Required) Technical/Functional Competencies * Superior mathematical skills * Superior computer skills * Good problem-solving and decision-making skills * Demonstrates good judgment * Strong organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people * Ability to communicate well with customers of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication * Ability to be tactful and diplomatic when dealing with customers and employees * Ability to use e-mail, phone, and other communication tools are necessary * Willingness to accept additional responsibilities * Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules * Takes initiative in development and completion of projects Equal Opportunity Employer First United Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
