Job Title: Instrument Technician

Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality surgical instruments that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform precision metal working, including belting, grinding, polishing, and drilling.
  • Use measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Read blueprints and/or technical drawings.
  • Finish manufactured hand-held instruments to meet or exceed quality standards for form, fit, function, and finish.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Machining, Planning, Engineering, and Packaging Departments.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of apprentice program or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of instrument manufacturing experience (preferred experience with manufacturing of surgical instruments).
  • Hand metal working experience.
  • Ability to visualize shapes.
  • Assessment will be required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.
  • Previous experience preferred from other shops that provide surgical instruments.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
