Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the manufacture of hand-held surgical instruments, ensuring high-quality products that meet or exceed quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Continual learning of new skills, including filing, bending, brazing, and other manufacturing techniques.
- Perform precision metal working, including belting, grinding, polishing, and drilling.
- Use measurement instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Read blueprints and/or technical drawings.
- Collaborate with Quality, Machining, Planning, Engineering, and Packaging Departments.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of apprentice program or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of instrument manufacturing experience (preferred experience with manufacturing of surgical instruments).
- Hand metal working experience.
- Ability to visualize shapes.
- Assessment will be required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.
- Previous experience preferred from other shops that provide surgical instruments.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
