Instrumentation Technician

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Instrumentation Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and successful operation of our space vehicles and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain instrumentation systems for various spaceflight applications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in instrumentation systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and test procedures.
  • Support vehicle and launch operations, including installation and repair of open-ended harnesses.
  • Perform mate/de-mate, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of harnesses and sub-systems.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in instrumentation-related fields, with a focus on aerospace applications.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex instrumentation system issues.
  • Experience with cable harness assemblies and integration of launch vehicles/systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Dexterity and physical stamina to perform installations in tight or high environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with instrumentation systems and data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of soldering and harness building techniques.
  • Understanding of strain, temperature, pressure, and load cell instruments.
