Job Title: Instrument Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Instrument Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of process instruments within the facility. This includes pre-commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of multiple process instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair plant equipment problems
  • Implement equipment modifications and replacements
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance procedures
  • Conduct routine repairs to instrumentation and electrical components
  • Conduct safety observations and maintain equipment in area of responsibility
  • Conduct inspections and calibrations of process instrumentation
  • Conduct measurements and inspections using calibrated test equipment
  • Complete pre-task analyses for maintenance activities
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science or equivalent certification program
  • Minimum of five to seven years experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience with process control instrumentation calibration, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Working knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out methods and related OSHA safety practices
  • Knowledge of multi-meters, Hart Communicators, frequency calibrators, and flow meters
Working Conditions:

The Instrument Mechanic will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. The position may also require working a rotating shift position, four on, four off, 12-hour shifts.
