Key Responsibilities:

As a Sustainability Program Manager, your role will involve:

  • Joining a proactive team dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for both public and private sector clients.
  • Utilizing connections within Colorado's business and governmental sectors to foster new business opportunities, as well as expanding services in other key states.
  • Employing your project management expertise to plan, oversee, and execute activities for ongoing and future projects, ensuring a utilization rate of approximately 70%. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, define project scopes, and fulfill client expectations.
  • Conducting tailored research, writing, strategy formulation, and analysis to support climate and sustainability deliverables for clients.
  • Managing external relationships with clients and key stakeholders, including councils, commissions, boards, and corporate and governmental personnel.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Director of Sustainability to develop and implement growth strategies and execute sustainability initiatives. You will also coordinate multidisciplinary teams to respond to requests for proposals and prepare compelling submissions.
  • Supporting the WSB Sustainability Team and corporate sustainability efforts to advance our Sustainability Plan.
  • Representing WSB to external clients, ensuring a high level of service and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Successfully nurturing internal client relationships.
  • Engaging in business development activities to attract new and existing clients through:
    • Planning and leading client meetings and networking events;
    • Developing new client contacts and relationships across various areas of expertise and regions;
    • Identifying and securing projects from both new and existing clients.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience with increasing responsibilities in Sustainability, Resiliency, Planning, or Circularity.
  • Experience working with both public and private sectors.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in managing projects, clients, and teams.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas inventory, reporting, and emissions reduction strategies.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects with a focus on customer service.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle policies, planning, and technologies.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in business development.
  • The ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate team members and coordinate diverse disciplines towards shared objectives.
