Position Summary:
We are looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee the implementation and management of our corporate EHS programs across various facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain EHS programs in alignment with corporate strategies and compliance with legal regulations.
- Stay updated on OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, ensuring that management is informed of relevant compliance information.
- Foster cross-departmental collaborations to enhance EHS initiatives and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify operational hazards and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct thorough reviews of new products and processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee the availability and compliance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Lead the EHS program to cultivate a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Coordinate external EHS inspections and manage incident reporting and recordkeeping.
- Administer training programs to ensure all personnel are equipped with necessary safety knowledge.
- Communicate EHS program updates and requirements to stakeholders effectively.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and lead the emergency response team.
- Ensure the management of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all operational materials.
- Maintain comprehensive EHS documentation and records.
- Travel may be required up to 30%.
Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence.
- Assist in regulatory reporting and act as a liaison during inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive approach with strong initiative.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
