About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at ALS Environmental. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by coordinating and organizing glassware, cleaning and sanitizing laboratory equipment and surfaces, and assisting laboratory staff as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and organize glassware in the laboratory, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, shelves, temperature-controlled units, and all surrounding areas.
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the Sterility clean room suite.
  • Follow cGDP and cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA, ICH, and DEA government regulations.
  • Work with laboratory staff as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the laboratory.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in laboratory notebooks.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to laboratory safety practices.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 years of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop, and crouch up to 80% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
  • Position may require the lifting of items up to 25 lb in weight.
  • May require weekend rotations as needed.
