POSITION OVERVIEW:

DAWSON is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the security and integrity of information systems within the organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting security initiatives in alignment with established Risk Management Framework (RMF) protocols, thereby contributing to the effective delivery of healthcare services to military personnel and their families.

***This position requires on-site presence.***
  • Salary Range: $92,000 - $130,000 based on experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • This is not a remote position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist management in fulfilling their security obligations.
  • Develop and enforce RMF Packages for MTF Infrastructure, including the creation of Implementation Plans and Security Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF requirements to maintain Approval to Operate (ATO) status.
  • Initiate and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) as necessary.
  • Support the acquisition and maintenance of ATO for both new and existing systems and applications.
  • Conduct Continuous Vulnerability Monitoring across all regional facilities.
  • Maintain an inventory of MTF Infrastructures and perform regular security scans, reporting vulnerabilities to the appropriate contacts.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of security policies for Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and server environments.
  • Generate cybersecurity reports for organizational leadership as required.
  • Adhere to the MTF cybersecurity program and ensure compliance with management policies.
  • Stay informed about authenticator management for unclassified systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection policies and incident management protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

  • Oversee responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of one year of experience as a Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist.
  • Current Tier 5 background investigation (SSBI) and IAT Level 2 certification.
  • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Required certifications: Security+ certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasional standing and walking may be required.
  • Primarily seated work with frequent communication.
