  • Oversee and assist in large-scale enterprise communication initiatives; deliver engineering and architectural support for unified communications (VoIP/VTC/DVTC)

  • Collaborate with hardware and software suppliers to resolve challenges as needed

  • Participate in on-call duty rotations with fellow department members
  • Implement and troubleshoot VOIP devices, including Cisco unified communication systems
  • Implement and troubleshoot VOIP applications - Jabber, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
  • Accountable for managing intricate and/or high-stakes projects, and shall not engage in any other roles
  • Oversee designated technical personnel, including subordinate supervisors
  • Establish cutting-edge methodologies for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting highly sophisticated computer operating hardware systems
  • Design unified communications/VoIP operating/hardware systems; develop system concepts and architecture, specific requirements, and implementation strategies
  • Identify and guide the resolution of complex hardware/software interface challenges; serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies; lead the creation of unified communications/VoIP systems specifications and technical documentation
  • Provide technical leadership for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components of complex hardware/software unified communications/VoIP systems, including requirements gathering, analysis, functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing operational concepts and interface standards, creating unified communications/VoIP system architectures, and performing both technical and non-technical assessments and management as well as comprehensive flow analysis
  • Conduct and/or endorse comprehensive system trade analyses to enhance unified communications/VoIP system operations throughout its lifecycle by balancing non-functional performance areas
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • At least six years of pertinent experience in addition to educational qualifications
  • Must hold current DoD 8570 IAT II and CCNP (or equivalent) certifications
  • Experience in a Department of Defense or Intelligence Community setting is preferred
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with the capability to maintain a Polygraph
