Compass Solutions is seeking two Client Relationship Coordinators with 1-3 years of relevant experience.


This role entails a full-time commitment with a hybrid work schedule.

The organization aims to provide a supportive environment for professional growth.

The initial interview will be conducted virtually, followed by an in-person meeting for selected candidates.

According to the hiring manager, the desired skill sets focus on supporting senior relationship managers. Administrative support and client engagement are key aspects of this role.

Position Purpose:


This position is responsible for assisting Relationship Managers in fostering and maintaining robust business relationships with assigned municipalities and members.

The role includes managing current and prospective business development, overseeing pension plan contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and resolving disputes effectively.


Description of Duties:


Assists in maintaining accurate client documentation, files, and records in compliance with established standards.

Coordinates client meetings, appointments, and necessary follow-ups. Prepares and distributes meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.


Acts as a primary contact for municipalities and members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Contributes to the creation of client communications, reports, and presentations as required.


Collaborates with senior management and professional staff to ensure municipalities and members receive outstanding service and support.


Works closely with various departments to prepare operational and activity reports, which may involve gathering statistical data.

Analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Assists in generating regular and ad-hoc reports for municipalities, members, and internal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.


Maintains knowledge of relevant plan documents associated with defined benefit and cash balance plans, along with a working understanding of specific adoption agreements.

Understands the legal and functional distinctions among IRS-qualified retirement plans applicable to local governments, including employer fiduciary obligations and plan administration responsibilities.

Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to pension administration. Assists in conducting risk assessments and compliance reviews.

Collaborates with the team to implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures.

Participates in training sessions to enhance knowledge of pension administration services.

Assists in onboarding new team members and contributes to the development of training materials.


Engages in special projects as assigned by senior management.


Represents the organization in meetings and performs various administrative functions as needed.


Decision Making Responsibilities:


This position is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, with general supervision and review focused on results.


Assignments are provided by:
senior management and other professional staff as appropriate. Work is reviewed prior to assignment and upon completion, with discussions on significant issues as required.

Long-term projects are assigned with clear goals and expected outcomes, allowing the incumbent to determine the best course of action.

Consultation with management is expected when situations have broad implications or are of a sensitive nature.
