Role Overview:

The Magellan initiative is a comprehensive global transformation program focused on transitioning our ERP system from ECC to S4 HANA. The primary objective of Magellan is to streamline, standardize, and modernize our essential business processes, enabling Boston Scientific to effectively utilize data and position the organization for sustainable and profitable growth.

This position specifically addresses our transformation efforts within the Capital Equipment sector, where enhanced S4 capabilities will refine lifecycle processes related to supply chain management, commercial execution, customer order fulfillment, service management, fixed asset management, and financial reporting.

As the Senior Program Manager for Delivery Excellence within the Magellan initiative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of this segment of the Business Transformation project across all functions, divisions, and regions of the organization. This strategic position reports directly to the Director of Delivery Excellence - Magellan. Collaborating with various Magellan Workstreams, Process Owners, Communities of Practice, and Stakeholders is essential for success in this role. The program is expected to span several years, and your responsibilities will include planning and executing cross-functional activities throughout the phases of Project Scope/Mobilization, Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, and Deployment to post-Go Live support.

Your contributions will be vital in executing and delivering multiple deployments across global Commercial regions and Manufacturing sites, ensuring that all relevant global functions are proactively engaged in current and future releases.

You will be part of a dedicated team tasked with developing processes to facilitate the execution of this critical and complex transformation project. This role offers the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our capital equipment capabilities and provides high visibility to senior leadership. We seek a change leader who is committed to continuously optimizing cross-functional processes and enhancing business engagement to drive readiness, utilizing agile methodologies, lean design thinking, and project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Share accountability for the successful planning and execution of the global program related to Capital Equipment transformation.
  • Ensure effective program governance, which may include:
  • Preparation of materials for the Capital Equipment Steering Committee.
  • Support functional reporting and risk management specific to Capital Equipment through RAID.
  • Represent cross-functional team performance in Execution and Deployment Governance meetings.
  • Manage scheduling and resource capacity planning within assigned teams.
  • Identify transformational opportunities for tracking via BSC VIP.
  • Manage program and team risks, defining actions to mitigate potential project risks and escalating to program leadership as necessary.
  • Support oversight of individual team performance and End-to-End process performance, fostering a culture of accountability.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of technical or operational experience in the medical device industry.
  • 7+ years of experience in a PMO role.
  • Previous leadership experience within the Boston Scientific network or managing large-scale change programs, particularly in technology or systems environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the broader Application Ecosystem, along with an understanding of key business processes.
