Job Summary

The Director, Business Development - OptiFreight will be a hands-on individual contributor providing thought leadership, direction, and expertise in the development and execution of business strategies to maximize program value and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Research and evaluate new service, channel, and/or carrier expansion opportunities in alignment with business strategies and customer needs.
  • Identify and cultivate innovative supply chain management solutions for the healthcare market and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to assess strategic fit, technical feasibility, and organizational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market research and stay up-to-date with trends and emerging innovations within the healthcare and broader supply chain/logistics industry.
  • Develop recommendations on new product and/or channel expansion opportunities that deliver increased value for the business and our customers.
  • Define the business dynamics necessary to consider portfolio expansion, including market size, barriers to entry, differentiated value, organizational readiness, and existing portfolio alignment.
  • Translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, and recommendations to inform future business strategies and longer-term investment alternatives.
  • Develop and own OptiFreight's Business Development vision and strategy, in collaboration with upstream and downstream Product Management and other business leaders.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of related work experience in healthcare, consulting, strategy, business development, R&D, and/or supply chain/logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Results-driven, proven ability to perform and to take initiative without direct oversight and to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
