Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and highly organized individual with a passion for animals and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic setting. This role is essential in fostering, developing, and enhancing partnerships with veterinary practices in the designated region.

The ideal candidate will be prepared for a commitment of 2 days per week, demonstrating a proactive approach to contribute to our ongoing success and being receptive to professional growth opportunities. Compensation for this position includes a base salary along with commission incentives.

This role requires the successful acquisition of a Property and Casualty license in your state or province of residence. The licensing process entails a comprehensive background check that reviews the candidate's history from age 18 onward. Physical visits to animal hospitals are a requirement for this position, and all team members engaging in these visits must be vaccinated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the veterinary sector (minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic).
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to reducing economic euthanasia in companion animals.
  • Possess the interpersonal skills necessary to cultivate relationships with our partner veterinary practices.
  • Present confidently to veterinary hospital owners and their staff.
  • Show a deep passion for our mission, which is to empower responsible pet owners to provide optimal care for their pets during times of illness or injury.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through courteous, efficient, and professional service.
  • Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit characterized by persistence and patience.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and listening skills, along with a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in field sales, cold calling, and business development is advantageous.
  • A background in sales and marketing is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required.
  • Must reside in the designated area and be willing to travel to veterinary hospitals 2 days a week, in addition to performing some administrative tasks from a home office.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid and clean driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Property and Casualty Insurance License to be eligible for employment.
  • This position necessitates physical visits to animal hospitals, and all team members must be vaccinated.
  • Participation in a 1-week remote training program (via Zoom) that is highly interactive.
  • Availability for occasional weekends to attend veterinary conferences.
