Job Title: Senior Wireless Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Network Architect to join our team at Persistent Systems LLC in New York. As a key member of our Integration Engineering team, you will work closely with our Program Management Office, Business Development leads, and Engineering to design and implement cutting-edge wireless network solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to architect and implement network solutions utilizing Wave Relay and Cloud Relay.
  • Support and facilitate the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of network and communications equipment.
  • Lead proactive, continuous improvement of existing network solutions.
  • Design solutions to meet customer requirements, including RF antenna solutions, physical interfaces, and custom installations.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships through managing and interpreting requirements.
  • Provide project technical assistance, product education, and training.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex networking systems.
  • Respond to requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposal (RFP).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Wireless Network design and implementation.
  • Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP) or similar certification.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts such as Spanning-Tree, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM, IGMPv2, IPsec, IKEv2, and MACsec.
  • Strong understanding of RF characteristics and RF engineering to include RF modeling.
  • Familiar with using tools for data gathering such as Wireshark, iPerf, CloudRF, etc.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, developing, and presenting technical presentations to large groups of customers.
  • Experience analyzing network applications for communications systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Wireless Network design and implementation.
  • Experience developing wireless network simulation environments.
  • Certified Wireless Networking Expert (CWNE) or similar certification.
  • Experience with MANET or Wave Relay technologies.
