Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing nutrition care and counseling to HIV-infected clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for HIV-infected patients, including comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments as needed.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate patient movement towards goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in case conferences as needed.
  • Document nutritional encounters in AIRS and maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise dietetic students as necessary and coordinate with external nutrition programs for AMC DHIVM patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian with the ADA and 1-3 years documented experience in out-patient nutrition services to medically compromised patient populations.
  • Ability to read and understand medical information, knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
  • Fluency in written and oral English, Spanish a plus.
