This role aims to become the subject matter expert in managing patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence.Employs a structured approach to transition individuals, teams, and organizations from their current conditions to desired outcomes, effectively closing performance gaps.
Utilizes diverse educational technologies to meet learning and performance requirements, fostering knowledge exchange and encouraging teamwork.Provides leadership in the execution of projects and educational initiatives, rigorously evaluating their impact on organizational objectives.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required, with a master's degree in nursing preferred.
~ Proficient understanding of supplies, vendors, and durable medical equipment for wound and ostomy management
~ Educating nursing staff with varying educational backgrounds and experience levels to meet clinic demands
~ Promoting collaborative efforts between inpatient and outpatient wound/ostomy care
~ Fostering teamwork with physicians, residents, and case managers
~ Staying updated with research and integrating new methodologies and advancements in the field.
Comfortable collaborating with administrative or educational departments to plan, organize, implement, and instruct both students and clinical staff, including nurse managers and preceptors.
