Thermal Systems Design and Analysis Lead

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Thermal Design and Analysis Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the success of our space vehicles by designing and analyzing thermal systems that meet the demands of space travel.
Responsibilities:- Own the delivery of large-scale thermal analysis solutions and partner with engineers across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
- Serve as a mentor to other team members and guide the successful completion of major programs.
- Research and lead the adoption of new thermal technologies and deliver high-level, multi-system architecture analysis that define the direction for the team and partner organizations.
- BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in design and analysis of aerospace thermal systems.
- Strong understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics with relevant experience preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with major technical trades like space vehicle architecture design, P&ID creation, and major vehicle trade studies.
- Proficiency in thermal modeling tools like SINDA/FLUINT or Thermal Desktop.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in an engineering discipline.
- Previous technical lead experience.
- Experience in propulsion budget development of space vehicles going through mission timelines.
- Experience with modeling propulsion fluids management (storage, transfer, phase change).
- Knowledge of other tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and Amesim.
