Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis within our Abbott Diagnostics business. This position will provide essential financial guidance and support to senior leadership, focusing on Income Statement and Balance Sheet reporting, as well as strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing site performance and profitability through comprehensive planning and analysis.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Establishing annual standards for labor, materials, and overhead; forecasting budgets and headcount; reviewing account reconciliations; and collaborating with site operations managers to ensure precise financial reporting while overseeing a team of three. Consolidating, forecasting, and reporting on ADD IA Core Instrument manufacturing with a budget of $100MM, overseeing 650 employees, $600MM in COGS, and $300MM+ in global inventory against established benchmarks. Collaborating strategically with business partners to identify cost-saving opportunities and prepare for future scaling. Leading assigned staff by aligning their goals with departmental objectives and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship. Developing and nurturing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge within the business context. Coordinating the global demand planning forecast for internal and third-party manufacturing, ensuring accuracy in various cycles. Modeling and forecasting key P&L expense items, including PPV, cost improvements, methods, and distressed inventory. Monitoring financial impacts for annual product cost updates in comparison to benchmark standards. Preparing product overhead burden allocations and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulations. Continuously supporting gross margin improvement initiatives and influencing decision-making processes. Analyzing data to recommend improvement strategies while ensuring the integrity of consolidated activities. Anticipating financial challenges and proactively developing strategies to address potential impacts. Engaging with various management levels using strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights. Reporting on foreign currency exchange impacts for standard implications and monthly reporting. Leading account reconciliation efforts and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies. Upholding compliance with internal controls, GAAP, SOX, and relevant tax regulations. Ensuring the effectiveness of the quality management system.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. 7-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, TM1, and SAP. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven leadership capabilities.-
